Q4 2024
The Last 90 Days
I’m writing this on December 30, 2024, in my notes app as I sit in the back row (all three seats to myself, holla!) on a Sunwing airplane heading to the Dominican for a family vacation to ring in 2025. My heart is overflowing with gratitude, thankfulness, excitement, awe, empowerment—“Hey Siri, give me more descriptive words for super happy.”
Seriously, this year has been a ride. If you haven’t already, read through my Q1-Q3 reflections to understand the highs and lows that led me here.
In October, I launched “The Last 90 Days,” the first round of my women’s-only coaching program, MIND BODY SOUL. My goal was to empower women to improve their mental, physical, and spiritual health as a community, with my guidance. It wasn’t just mindset work that transformed me—it was the synergy of fitness, nutrition, therapy, and support from friends and mentors. I launched this program at the end of September, and almost immediately, five incredible women joined.
This was a holy-shit moment for two reasons:
It felt so easy.
I’d spent the past year burning out over a business model that was “supposed” to work.
The quote that came to mind was: “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek.” My fear of coaching in fitness and nutrition had been holding me back from my full potential, and I hadn’t even realized it.
Alongside the launch, I went on a weekend trip to Montreal with one of my best friends. I had zero stress about traveling during the launch—yet another sign of alignment. The trip was magical: French food, 20,000 steps a day, breathtaking sights, and deep connection. Marie, if you’re reading this, I love you, soul sis. <3
The rest of October felt beautifully balanced. It was my birthday month, and I made sure to celebrate big. I hosted a private pizza party with Big Kid Pizza and my closest friends, got three new tattoos, and spent a full day in nature with my family. [Side note: Did anyone else notice how perfect fall in Calgary was this year? Never thought I’d be rolling in the grass on October 19, but there I was!]
Meanwhile, Claire and I had been planning our Mindfulness Festival, Flow Fest, since August. Scheduled for November 17, it was the largest event either of us had ever organized. The anticipation was so real.
November was a whirlwind of preplanning for Flow Fest, coaching my online group, and starting 1:1 personal training clients. It was busy, but this time, it felt aligned. Every day I woke up excited and energized because I was prioritizing myself first.
On that note... Here’s my morning routine, which is set in stone (for now):
Wake up around 7 a.m.
Stay in bed for 10 minutes, connect to my breath, and do a supine twist to open my spine.
Move into child’s pose and open my heart.
Drink 40 ounces of water immediately upon getting up (pro tip: morning fatigue is often dehydration).
Delay coffee for at least an hour after waking and post-hydration.
Choose from yoga, gratitude journaling, or meditation (sometimes all three).
Set intentions for the day.
Eat my go-to breakfast and hit the gym.
This whole routine is done by 11 a.m., ensuring I start my day with a full cup. As a coach and yoga teacher, protecting your energy is essential, and these practices make it possible.
Flow Fest was an incredible success—a dream realized—and it’s inspired even more events for 2025. Stay tuned by following @human.kind.club on Instagram.
And then there was December…
The holidays kept me busy, but in the best way. Connection, abundance, peace, joy, and creation filled every moment. I spent time with my girlfriends doing festive activities and ticked off every cherished Christmas tradition my family has upheld for 27 years. Amid all the joy, I continued serving my amazing clients and prioritizing my health.
I’m thrilled to share that this was the third consecutive month I’ve had a normal menstrual cycle—a huge win for my overall health. Reflecting on the challenges of this year fills me with immense gratitude. Every struggle brought me here.
It’s funny to zoom out and think about time as a concept. Months and dates are just labels, yet they frame our lives in meaningful ways. As I prepare to step into 2025, I feel fresh, focused, and ready to ride the momentum forward.
I’ll be starting the new year on a Dominican beach, with a Wellness Challenge ready to empower 20 driven women and an impactful event brewing for Q1 of 2025 (stay tuned!).
2024, thank you for your lessons. 2025, let’s do this!
